Errand Services

Errand services are more and more in demand. People need help getting things done. If you have a mind to, you can fill this need. There are many things that you can do for people that you do for yourself every day. Some of these things include

  • Grocery Shopping
  • Gift Shopping
  • Waiting for repair men/ service men, deliveries, cable, etc
  • Setting up for special occasions
  • General running around errands, Rx, movie returns, dry cleaning
  • Gift Delivery - You can deliver anything - sometimes people want to be more creative than flowers.
  • Handling personal needs when clients are traveling and/or working long hours
  • Obtaining tickets to sports events, concerts, and theatrical productions
  • Holiday decorating, and gift coordination
  • Provide Internet shopping or information research services

You can even get clients who are busy executives who know exactly what they need and just need someone to pick it up. I actually bought a pair of shoes for a busy attorney who likes to run. I buy her books for her book club, I buy her favorite sodas weekly. I scheduled her plumber. I bought a mattress for her spare bedroom. I met the curtain hanger and pet her cat while he hung her curtains.

People need help!

The key to success in this business (at least the key for me) is being able to think on your feet, make decisions, try new things. Have a GREAT DEAL of self confidence.

There are many benefits to owning your own business. I run my business from my home, like many small and micro-businesses.  I have an extremely flexible schedule. I am home when my kids get home. I am able to schedule most errands around their schedule. There are times I am not as available to the kids as I would like to be, but that is part of being in business. My kids appreciate my business and have grown up with it and over the years have learned how to respect what I do and the time I need to do it.

You Can Do it!!

Errand and Concierge Services are the Newest Trend in Home Based Businesses

Angel Wilder, owner of Angel At Your Service, and Danette Moss, owner of LAD Concierge Group, LLC and Live Life…Outsource the Rest®, have partnered up to provide seminars to those interested in starting their own errand or concierge service. Their next seminar will be held in October in Brea, California.

Whittier, CA (PRWEB) September 21, 2006 -- Angel Wilder, owner of Angel At Your Service, and Danette Moss, owner of LAD Concierge Group, LLC and Live Life…Outsource the Rest®, have partnered up to provide seminars to those interested in starting their own errand or concierge service. Their next seminar will be held in October in Brea, California.

According to Entrepreneur Magazine and Inc. Magazine, errand and concierge services are one of the top 10 businesses to start. Errand and concierge services help take the stress out of people's lives by allowing them to do their job at work and home without sacrificing the needs of their family. By handing the service their to-do list, errands that client's feel are taking up too much of their time are completed for them.

With so many inquiries from people wanting to start up their own errand/concierge service, Angel Wilder, owner of Angel At Your Service, and Danette Moss, owner of LAD Concierge Group, LLC and Live Life…Outsource the Rest ®, are offering joint seminars, which will take place in different areas of the country to help others get their venture underway. They will be offering two and a half day seminars. Their next seminar will be held on October 13, 14, and 15, 2006, in Brea, California.

According to Angel, who is the author of one of the industry’s best selling books Starting Your Own Errand or Concierge Service and was featured in the June 2006 Parents Magazine, "I have been getting numerous phone calls and e-mails from those wanting to get their own business off of the ground every day. Reasons have ranged from wanting to stay home with their children to wanting to be their own boss and set their own hours. There are many details involved when it comes to starting a company. I thought it would be easier to help answer many of the same questions all at once and be able to interact with those interested. It also gives others a great chance to network."

After spending a year researching this industry and then opening her own doors for business eight years ago, she has picked up many experiences and advice along the way. She is also a member of ICEA (International Concierge and Errand Association), for which she is the current Secretary, Chat Director, Founder of their new MENTOR Program, and the 2005 Member of the Year.

Danette states, “Angel and I met three years ago at one of ICEA’s conferences and noticed that we both were receiving the same types of calls. They were calls for help in getting started and from those wanting to take their business to the next level. As we have stayed in close touch with each other over the years, we decided to partner in training and put our two brains together for one common goal, which is to educate and grow the concierge and errand industry.”

Danette has been in business for five years and will bring her experience in travel, wedding planning, and strategic alliances with affiliate corporations to this upcoming seminar. This will allow others to see the many directions they can take in the Concierge and Errand industry. She is also a member of ICEA and held the position as President for SCEA (Southeast Concierge and Errand Association).

The seminar will answer many of the most common asked questions such as, "How do I get started?", "How much do you charge?", "What type of insurance do I need?", and "What type of services do you offer?"

The registration fee is $755 if you register by October 7 and $805 after that date. The price of the program includes the Starting Your Own Errand or Concierge Service book, breakfast, lunch, dinner Saturday evening, and various handouts.

For more information or to register for the seminar, contact either Angel Wilder at 866-413-7886 or Danette Moss at 1-866-523-2662.
